Jim Mwanza Jim Mwanza was born in Harare in 1973, and now lives in Glenfield township situated on the outskirts of Harare. Starting his interest will all art very young, he started as an apprentice with his uncle, Temba Gengezha, in 1999. He uses a number of different stones including, opalstone and springstone, but fruit serpentine remains his favourite. Jim works with his brother Noel, and together they are two of the most likable carvers to work with. As like at these early years, revolve around his art, he has little time or interest in outside hobbies yet. He married in 1998 and they have a boy and a girl. |
